changing rooms pt. 2

well, our builders are done and all we need to do now is paint and get rid of that plaster dust!!
(in case you missed it, we're switching our room with 4 kids)

this is our upstairs room before - as well as other pieces of furniture such as a freestanding wardrobe and dressers.
(the dotted line is the roof line - the ceiling slopes down from this point towards the front where the {storage} cupboards are)

and although it isn't perfectly to scale this is basically how we're planning to fit 4 kids in one room.
(i haven't included other pieces of furniture in this pic either)
the orange dotted line is where the builders have put a wall (so there is access to the bathroom and toilet without going into the bedroom)
because the hallway is wider than average, we are planning to put large bookcases where the *'s are.

(if you want to watch the 'tour' again, here)

i'm having so much fun collecting bits and pieces for their "areas" - but i'll show you more about that another day!

  3. Yessss - a floor plan was exactly what I was after, each time you've mentioned you're doing this I felt like I couldn't "get" what this really entailed! So excited. The room will be sensational, I know now. Your pins belie greatness.
